Thirteenth College Sustainable Agricultural Project is a long-term programme that was first organised at College 13 directed by Miss Siti Nur Zulhijjah Mohd Yusoff with the involvement of College 13 citizens comprising college management, fellows, College Representative Council as well as degree and foundation students. This project is an agricultural-based planting project and decorative crops aiming to sustain agricultural activities at the college level. The programme was conducted aiming to respond to the call of Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman who called on every college at Universiti Putra Malaysia to undertake an agricultural project continuously to achieve the objective of upholding agriculture as well as to make Universiti Putra Malaysia as one of green and harmonious institutions. The project is present with four main objectives which foster the spirit of empowering agriculture, giving exposure to agricultural knowledge, producing students who lead and play the role of each other as well as building individuals who are capable of developing business planning and seizing business opportunities nowadays. The project is carried out around College 13 area, divided into five different zones namely K13 Sustainable Centre, Dusun K13, Anjung Hijau, Laman Syurgawi and Hamparan Tani. Among the crops planted in the Thirteenth College Sustainable Agricultural Project are brazilian spinach, kale, okra, chilli, ornamental crops and others. Although it is still recently implemented, various activities have been carried out by the project committee as well as the yield that can be shared. Among the activities carried out are the giving of crops to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Students and Alumni Affairs, YBhg. Prof. Dr Arifin Abdu, who was presented by Wan Nurriduan Zulkarnain Wan Zainuddin, President of College Representative Council, College Thirteen, gotong-royong activity cooking jackfruit curry cooked by students with guidance from fellow as well as jackfruit curry distribution and cut fruit to the college citizens.
