SEKINCHAN, 17 NOVEMBER – The Volunteering and Community Secretariat (SUKOM), the Thirteenth College, organized Program Salam Desa in Kampung Parit 8, Sungai Leman, Sekinchan on November 15-17, 2019. In line with the University Putra Malaysia motto "With Knowledge We Serve", the volunteering program opened up opportunities for students to gain knowledge and experience in the high impact of community programs. The program was attended by 35 students with two accompanying staffs. This Program Salam Desa is a great platform for university citizens to carry out social responsibility through knowledge sharing. Among the activities were the Knowledge Transfer: Food Dining session which deals with the table dining ethics. Other activities include community work, fishing by 'joran kampung', barbecue nights, the visit to Sekinchan Rice Mill and Kerepek Masri Factory and also closing ceremonies which attended by the Thirteen College Principals, Ybhg.
