KAJANG, 9 JANUARY – A total of 12 students from Kolej 13 comprising college representatives and coordinators of Sustainable Agricultural Project had organised a study visit to Urban Farming KRT Kajang Utama. The aim of the visit was to gain knowledge about Unity Gardening Farming (UGD) system. UGD or better known as Unity Gardening Farming is an agricultural system without a hook-free. This system is a very efficient system to implement in various areas, including in areas with limited space. The system also practices the concept of green sustainability within the scope of agriculture because through the use of this system, it encourages farmers to use compost fetilizer in tree planting system. Through this visit, the students studied three main modules in the UGD system which are UGD manufacturing method, planting procedures and organic fertilizer production system in UGD. The system is seen as important to learn as the system is seen to be very efficient to apply in the college area especially at the K13 Sustainable Center. Through the learning of the system it is hoped that the knowledge that is poured into can be utilised by the students to ensure that the Sustainable Agricultural Project can be more developed and achieved its objectives.
